During my time at Ipswich News Today, located on Brisbane Street in the Old Flour Mill, I am required to source, write, and edit articles to be published in their local newspaper. The stories I write are based on personal interests and upcoming community events in the area. I am required to take photos, conduct interviews, write and edit weekly articles. As a result, I have made various connections in the community and my writing skills have improved. Over the 5 weeks I have been at Ipswich News Today I have had 6 published stories in the paper and the internship is ongoing.
